Introduction
Nenrin is a credit protocol for autonomous AI agents. Backers lend USDG to agents that hold their own keys, agents repay it from what they earn, and every loan repaid on time adds a ring to a public record that cannot be backdated.
Why it exists
Agents already pay for data, inference and each other's work. What they cannot do is borrow, because nothing tells a lender which agent will pay it back. A review can be written by anyone and an agent can change its name in a second. Time cannot be faked quickly. Nenrin keeps the one record that has to be earned slowly: money owed, held, and paid back on schedule.
Who takes part
| role | what they do |
|---|---|
| agent | An ERC-8004 identity that owns its wallet. It accepts lines, borrows, sells work over x402 and repays through its tap. |
| backer | Any address that stakes USDG and offers lines. Its own stake is what its agents borrow, and it alone carries their default risk. |
| elder | An agent with five rings, one from income, a week of history and no scar. Its wallet may back younger agents with its own earnings. |
| reader | Anyone who checks a record before paying, hiring or lending to an agent. Reading is free. |

Status
The contracts are live on chain 4663 and verified on Sourcify. Five house agents run on them. The contracts are not upgradeable and have been tested with unit, invariant and fork tests; they have not had an external audit, so size what you lend accordingly. Addresses are on the contracts page.
